EGi (Ethereal Groove, Inc.) is an infectiously danceable experimental funk group from the Chicagoland area. Featuring Joe DeLucca on bass, Noe Perez and James Hernandez on guitar, Devon Bates on drums and Mike “Gonzo” Gonzalez on percussion. This young and energetic group pushes the limits of improvisation, writing, and energy-rich shows. Fusing funk, rock, and instrumental post-rock into something that feels familiar, and yet totally new, the band displays great versatility and a progressive appreciation for many genres.
