A roots band from the Chicago area music scene. Country, folk, roots rock, blues, irish, bluegrass...stick them in a blender and pick up the pace.
On this day in Rock History: February 10, 2001. Four guys got together for the very first time as a group and played some music. They then decided it was going to work out quite nicely. Thus, Lazy Maybes was formed!
About Duke and The American Dream
Duke Oursler is an American heartland singer/songwriter from Macomb Illinois. His thoughtful, honest and direct lyrics speak to midwestern life and experience. Dukes's songs are rooted in the Illinois banks of the Mississippi river. His unique brand of river rock speaks to both the tumultuous floods and hard working blue collar life on the Mississippi, contrasting against unifying stories of love and friendship as the calm and smooth as the pools and eddies of the big river. With honesty, authenticity and whit, Duke and his band deliver tight harmonies and an energetic live performance belting stories of midwestern life and love in America's heartland. Duke has been writing and playing his original music for the past two decades in Illinois and Iowa. He has shared the stage with many regional and national acts such as Hello Dave, Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts, Chicago Farmer, Broseph, Brushville, Jason Walsmith and others. Duke will be releasing his upcoming project titled (Duke and The American Dream) this fall featuring the singles "Bootstraps" and "Set Me Free".
A wildflower will grow anywhere – through concrete if it has to. It just won’t be stopped.
Renegade Wildflower brings a relentless assault to the stage, playing what they love: their own energetic brand of Southern Rock.
With roots from the heart of Texas and northern Illinois, the well that Renegade Wildflower draws from is filled with soaring harmonies and gritty, heartfelt guitar work inspired by acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Waylon Jennings, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Bringing a huge sound to the stage reminiscent of the 1970’s live music experience, this is one show you will tell your friends about.
Renegade Wildflower is well equipped for any caliber of performance – festival stages, live music venues or private events. Performing around the Midwest Region to headlining on Music Row in Nashville, TN, Renegade Wildflower is ready to serve up the finest Southern Rock the area has to offer.
Stan Pszeniczka leads the project as a drummer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Joe Stamm Band’s newest country-rock album is as brutally authentic as the Midwestern plains and people that inspire these songs. A year-round working musician, Stamm has become something of an anthropologist of the tiny towns dotting middle America. Thanks to his fondness for this so-called flyover country, and his crew of down-home troubadours, Stamm has created the soundtrack to the heart of America: Midwest Town (release date 9-10-21).
JSB, established in 2013, offers distinct storytelling mixed with a signature Black Dirt Country Rock sound - a sound that Stamm defines as “a nod to our Midwestern roots, as well as the Red Dirt music scene, which has had a big influence on our music.” Fans can expect the fearless Black Dirt Country Rock sound from Dave Glover’s inventive lead guitar, Bruce Moser’s fortifying bass, and Tim Fiers’ heart-pounding drums on the new album…
Working with great musicians and spreading great reggae feel good times to everyone.
With an edge of daring and a tinge of heartbreak, The Frizz is a singular brand of soulful rock & roll. In addition to a sprinkling of originals, you'll hear a diverse set of covers from Amy Winehouse to Led Zepellin to Dr Dre all incorporating strong elements of spontaneity and improvisation!
Johnny V's Wildflowers is a Tom Petty tribute act, fronted by Johnny Vermilye, one of Northwest Indiana's most well-known and charismatic performers. The band touches upon all corners of Tom Petty's catalog, from hits to deep cuts to side-projects, and brings their own flavor to this classic and beloved music. Also featured in this band are other mainstays from the Chicago music scene, including Janis Wallin on bass, "Kid Mikey" Schroeder on drums, Rich Fobes on keys, and Garrett Degnan on lead guitar.
Rockin’ Moxie is a soulful, pop/rock cover band that does just that! We rock the moxie, and we do it with the soulful sounds of Duffy, Elle King, and Chapman - with the rock flavor of Petty, Stray Cats, and Cash - with the alternative mix of Pearl Jam, Bush, and Gin Blossoms - and of course with pop anthems of Pink, Gaga, and Morissette. Our high-energy show leaves music lovers with an experience that both surprises and satisfies.
